About the Library
Mission
Middletown Public Library strives to meet the needs of a well-informed community by providing information and services that address multiple points of view and encourage life-long learning. The Library will serve as the cultural and educational hub of the community by creating a friendly and inclusive environment and by providing programs that respond to community interests.

Library Board and Staff
Middletown Public Library is owned and operated by Middletown Borough. All staff are employed by the Borough. Borough Council approves individual appointments to a seven-member Library Board, which governs library activities and establishes policies.

Library Staff
With the exception of the Library Director, all library staff work under a collective bargaining agreement established between Middletown Borough and Teamsters Local No. 776.
