Celebrate National Library Week with us with an ALL AGES EVENT!

Literary Photo Scavenger Hunt: April 14th-19th, 2014

 REGISTER NOW! adults $10, teens $5, children $2

GENERAL INFO BELOW - stop in for full details! 

   On Monday, April 14th at 9:30 am you will be emailed a list of literary items with varying point values assigned to them. If you do not have an email address or access to the internet, you may stop in the library to pick up the list beginning at 9:30 am Monday morning. 

   Your job is to find as many of these items as you can and digitally photograph them. Participants are responsible for using their own camera/cell phone for picture taking. Contest ends Sat. April 19th at 4 pm.

Book Discussion Group

 

May 2014: (1st Thursday, 6 pm) "Proof of Heaven" - Eben Alexander

June 2014: (1st Thursday at 6pm) "The Worst Hard Time"  - Timothy Egan.  We may also have a guest speaker at this extra discussion.

* New members are always welcome.  Snacks are provided.

Yarn Club

A brand new knitting and crocheting group that meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 6:00-7:30. All levels are welcome. Please bring your own supplies. Teens welcome!

Programs for Babies, Toddlers & Preschoolers:

 

Spring Story Time

Begins Tuesday, March 18th for 10 weeks

Wee Readers - birth thru 24 months Tuesdays at 10:00 am

Preschool Story Time - ages 2-6 Tuesdays at 11:00 am

Siblings always welcome at either session. NO registration is required for this FREE program!

P.S. We now have a changing table in the ladies restroom for our little ones!

 

Family Fun Night

Tuesday, April 8th and Tuesday, May 13th at 6:30 pm

Families and kids of all ages join us for stories & activities!

April - Visit with a farmer, meet a farm animal or two, and complete a "Chicken Chat" activity

May - Meet and take your photo with the reigning Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Lia Schmittel, hear about what it's like to be a fair queen, and meet some of Lia's rabbits

Children MUST be accompanied by an adult as this is a FAMILY activity. Thank you.

Kiwanis Kids Konnection

Saturday, April 12th at 9:30 am

Fun, games, crafts, and more! Held at the MCSO Building West Emaus & Catherine Streets           Pre-registration is required and the cost is $3.00. Register at the library now until April 8th. Designed for children ages 5-8.
