Join us for an action packed summer reading kick-off with local radio station WJTL and "Kid's Cookie Break" broadcasting LIVE from the front lawn of the library! Live music, activities, cookies, face painting, Caring Hearts Pet Therapy animals, and more! And most importantly - register for our summer reading programs! 30-40 minute story time for our toddler & preschool crowd (Recommended for ages 2-6 with a caregiver) Explore action rhymes, songs, and stories as we read books related to our summer theme "Every Hero Has a Story." After books, gather with us at the back table for a special activity. No registration is required and siblings are welcome.
Character juggler Chris Ivey returns to kick off our summer with his theatrical juggling show. Prepare to be amazed and entertained by his elaborate stage settings, heart pounding music, and more, mixed with an assortment of juggling, comedy, magic, and a little danger! An all ages show.
Some of our favorite heroes are also movie stars. Join us for a hero themed movie and relax in our air conditioned library. This week we’ll have two movies: One at 10 am The Three Musketeers (animated Disney version with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy) (rated G) for our youngest readers and one at 1 pm The Three Musketeers (live action Disney version) (rated PG) for our older readers in the library basement. Middletown Public Library has switched to a new Computer Management System CASSIE. This is the program which allows patrons to use the public computers and print. Patrons should not notice much difference in Middletown. You will sign in with the same ID number and pin as before. You will not lose any money you have on your account for printing, but the money on your SAM account for printing will not transfer automatically.
